Acrylic Painting on Canvas – Exploring negative space artworks
Learn how to paint around objects such as leaves and branches for stunning results to create a wonderful artwork to take home and hang on your wall. Kate demonstrates how you can layer your acrylics to build up an abstract background and develop your negative spaces to add depth to your paintings. You’ll learn to simplify your objects down to simple shapes and cut in to create design. This technique is difficult to explain but a super fun way to move acrylic paint around a canvas in an almost meditative way! You’ll have to trust us on this one!
Week 3 & Week 4

Watercolour Brush Lettering
The fun is in the name! Brush lettering is what our fabulous Mrs Flannelette is famous for, and she will take you step by step through the process of brush lettering, using watercolour paints. The aim over two weeks will be to re-create a family recipe, a poem or something special to each participant, as a keepsake.

Ho Ho Ho!! It’s Christmas time!
We know Christmas time can be stressful, so in these last two sessions for the year we will help you fumble your way through creating sparkly ornaments, festive cards, wrapping paper, table decorations, all the things Christmassy! Using painting, lettering, printing and drawing, we will pull together all the skills we have learned through the term to create a suite of beautiful festival treats. We cant wait!
