WHO’S IT FOR?

Wagga’s Multicultural Performing Arts Program is a week-long creative engagement program of playwriting, theatre making, sharing culture, and skills building for young people aged 14-18 from a refugee, migrant and first nations background. This program is perfect for upper high school students who have an interest in drama and performing arts. Please only apply if you are available for the full 6-day program and please note that this is not a sleep over style camp. Only 20 spaces are available.

The week will kick off on Monday the 9th January at the Turvey Park Guide Hall in Wagga Wagga. Throughout the week we will explore theatre making, storytelling, drama skill building and have some very special sessions in animation, movement and art making. This is a very comprehensive program that will build your skills as a storyteller, and performer. We will end the week with a performance of our work on the Saturday afternoon/evening at the Playhouse, Wagga Wagga.

This is a fully funded program thanks to the Office for Regional Youth in partnership with Create NSW so there is no charge to participate. We do ask however, a level of commitment and motivation in our students that will ensure the week is energy filled, and the performance outcome is wonderful.

Catering provided for the week and transport is available too.
